ELYRIA, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–April 1, 2005–Invacare (NYSE:IVC) is proud to award a $50,000 grant to the Lorain County Urban League (LCUL) to support the organization’s special events and projects as well as to launch the new Minority Business Development Center.

The LCUL empowers African Americans and all disadvantaged persons in Lorain County to participate equally in the educational, economic and social mainstream. The Minority Business Development Center is a program that will give minority individuals the opportunity to explore business initiatives and receive coaching and mentoring. Invacare’s grant money will help LCUL raise awareness and additional funds for the center, which will be housed at the LCUL main office in Elyria and in satellite offices throughout the county.
