Invacare Introduces 37 Innovative Products and Programs at Medtrade 2005

ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Oct. 18, 2005–At Medtrade(R) 2005, Invacare (NYSE:IVC) is introducing 37 new and enhanced products and programs, once again demonstrating its commitment to innovation for the home medical equipment industry. The exhibit runs October 18-20 in Atlanta, Georgia, and is the largest home healthcare event in the industry. Invacare will be located in booth 1017.

The Rehab Products Group will unveil the latest technology in Invacare(R) MK Series Electronics, MK6i(TM). MK6i will include intelligent memory capability with advanced diagnostics. Also in rehab, Invacare will highlight the latest enhancements to the Invacare(R) TDX(TM) Total Driving Experience power wheelchair and the Pronto(R) Series of power wheelchairs.

Based on the success of the At’m Take Along Chair, a lightweight, portable power wheelchair that the company introduced at Medtrade(R) 2004, Invacare will introduce the At’m Quick Transport (Q.T.). The At’m Q.T. is the next evolution in portable mobility with an improved and quicker disassembly feature. The At’m Q.T. is targeted to give providers more flexibility in meeting the mobility needs of the private pay consumer.

Invacare’s Respiratory Products Group will showcase the latest innovations in its sleep therapy line, including the Invacare(R) Polaris(TM) EX(R) EZ-Fill Humidifier. The EZ-Fill Humidifier has a new design that is extremely user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for patients to fill, clean and use.

The respiratory group also will be on-hand to discuss the revolutionary HomeFill(TM) II Oxygen System and the increased profit opportunities that it offers to providers. The company will introduce the HomeFill Ready Rack, which allows the HomeFill II System to sit directly on top of the oxygen concentrator.

The Standard Products Group will introduce a complete new line of Bariatric Products and Solutions. Invacare’s new Bariatric products have enhanced weight capacities, including some now at 1,000 lbs. Invacare Bariatric consultant, Kevin D. Huffman, D.O., a board-certified Bariatric physician, will be available at Invacare’s booth on Wednesday, October 19, to host an interactive discussion on obesity management and the importance of providing proper HME equipment.

Invacare(R) Top End(R) will raise the curtain on the new 2006 Excelerator(TM) XLT Gold. The 2006 XLT Gold takes handcycle speed and performance to the next level. In basketball news, Top End will introduce the latest enhancements to its X-Terminator BB Chair and the Paul Schulte Signature BB Chair.
