Healthcare manufacturer Invacare with partner Free Wheelchair Mission’s inaugural Move For Mobility campaign won two additional awards this week, recognising its worldwide collaboration.
Following the global success of the Move for Mobility campaign, Invacare and Free Wheelchair Mission have been announced as the 2024 Anthem Awards winners of the Anthem Silver Award and the Community Voice Award.
The awards recognise the initiative’s life-changing contributions in helping to transform lives through the gift of mobility.
Over 400 employees from Invacare participated and got active for the month of May. Working alongside their partner the Free Wheelchair Mission, employees from around the world raised funds and helped donate almost 300 wheelchairs to people in remote communities who have no access to mobility equipment.
Arielle Favard, Global Digital Communications Specialist at Invacare, said:
“The Anthem Awards’ commitment to amplifying global social impact is important and we are honored to contribute to the collective mission of driving meaningful change.
“To receive these awards and be recognized for the hard work that both Invacare and Free Wheelchair Mission are involved in is an inspiring achievement.”
The Anthem Awards celebrate worldwide initiatives that champion community engagement, innovative thinking, and tangible impact—all values that the Move For Mobility campaign focused on and that aligns with Invacare’s mission of Making Life’s Experiences Possible.
Free Wheelchair Mission’s Head of Marketing, Brad Cooper said:
“We are incredibly honored to receive not just one, but two Anthem Awards for our joint marketing campaign. These accolades are a testament to the power of our partnership with Invacare as we raise awareness and work to transform lives around the globe.
“Together, we are having a meaningful impact, and we are grateful to share in this recognition.”
